Where I am in Canada, DSM stuff it hard to come by. All the parts for my truck had to come from the States as non of the wrecking yards have any DSM parts left.

I'm trying to avoid the same V8 360 swap I did 20 years ago, but I do have a V6 Magnum and tranny that might be the next source of power.

The reason I was thinking about the Holley or FITech is the ease of installation... Intake milling for it is quite simple and neither system needs a tach or dizzy input unless I go blow or turbo'ed as it would have to retard the timing.

I love the look of that S/C set up...

the issues we deal with our truck is the inability to reflashing the ECM.

The is another reason the Holley/FI Tech is a good idea.

LSRMike posted details on his website on how to run his 2.4 sohc truck using a DSM ecu
A few ecu pins, then use the DSM transistor and coil pack.... in short

A buddy used a black plastic box $50 oem mitsu junkyard ecu to tune a DSM
just from a conversation with him... I gather this is what he used. He was quite impressed

lots more 'diggin in', to get u up & running... but way cheaper & better than the holley stuff
but the holley/FItech maybe best for you. (just seen friends struggle with their crappy products, MSD too)

megasquirt planned for my 2.4sohc turbo. A starquestclub member done more than a few versions for the 2.6 turbo

That is great reading material... I will need to take some time to digest it all.

I really with our ECM had an eprom chip built it. Its easy to socket a board and remove the eprom as needed... well other than where our ecm is located in the truck.. that's a pain.
