1989 Ram 50 no radio or cigarette lighter power.

Okay, have another problem. I must have blown something while I was wiring my system lastnight. The switchable power for my radio is gone now, along with the power that was supplying the cig lighter. All fuses are good? Could not find fuse for lighter? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Soooooo close to getting the interior finished!!!!!

Man, you have been busy. Those seats look freaking amazing - and have you recoloured the dash to match? Nice work

Thanks man! Yes,it had the brown dash when I bought it,kinda hard to make everything match with brown. The seats are out of an Audi a6. Best $350 bucks I spent so far. The center console is out of a Lincoln Aviator second row seating. I just ordered a new blinker/light switch assembly from ali Express! Thanks to this site for the info!

Thanks man, I'm hoping my theory is right or close. I ordered power window regulators off a L200 from mitzybitz. Should be here next week,I will keep you guys posted if they do work. $140 for both sides! Either way I will have my door panels done and the windows tinted when they get here.

I got my RHD steering box & idler arm from Mitsybitz as well, they have an ass ton
of L200/Montero schtuff. Good chaps to deal with for sure.
They've got all my fast ship parts business going forward, freight is a bit pricey, but
you get what you need, what u ordered.

Weeell, power window regulators from a L200 k74 are not a perfect fit.... they either closed all the way,an not go all the way down,or vise versa. So I cut the brackets apart from the manual and welded the bracket that holds the motor on it. Thinking if they were from the older k34,probably been chilli.

If the conversion was successful, take pics of how you pulled it off. Power windows - fancy!

Passenger side done! Really easy solution to power windows if anyone is interested. Im sure the L200 K34 would be the perfect swap, but it works just as well with the K74 with a little fab work. Just waiting on the switches I ordered off Ebay then the door panels will be finished!

I'm on the fence trying to decide which way to fall, patrol or diesel....
I'm always caught up thinking about post-society fueling, you can make methanol out of literally
anything, where diesel ur kinda stuck w veggie oil... I haven't looked into the deuce & a half's fuelling tho,
I herd those engines can run on like any flammable liquids almost.
Oddly enuff this is the deciding factor in my decision.

Haha, well it was a little more than I wanted to spend. I bought the truck without a motor, well it was sitting in the bed. So I had planned on doing some kind of swap anyways. My plans started off with a 3.5 gas out of a 2001 Montero xls, I didnt want to mess with all the wiring. If you want to actually plug it in and go,my opinion would be the 4d56. It cost me $2500 for motor and transmission. My truck had an automatic already, an I wanted to keep it that way. I've had diesel for 15 years, the gas mileage pays for themselves.

My wife's current truck is a '14 ram 2500 with 37" tires, she averages 16-17 mpg in the city,I am hoping I can get at least 20-25 mpg in this little ram. Plus the sound of turbo spull is the sweetest sound to me!
