    Km-145 to v5m21 swap

So I'm in the middle of swapping my km-145 to a v5m21 so far everything is going good just have a question about a 4th sensor it's on the transfer case driver side I've found it's called a pulse generator. My km-145 only had three originally reverse hi and low. Was this a fail safe switch of some sort or just a speed sensor of some sort? Best I can tell it shouldn't mess with the operation of the transfer case it just reads that its spinning.

So are you in essence swapping a km-145 (4g) bell housing onto a v5m21 (v6) tranny???
If this is the case I have some questions for you.....

That’s not any V5MT1 that I’ve ever seen.

V5M21 is what the tag on the firewall said. Not V5MT1. Anyhow this transmission has fit so far I'll find out more when I go to install driveshafts. Really just wondering if the 4th sensor the one called called a pulse generator will have any effect mj pt being hooked up. It looks to me that it reads like a speed sensor.

Anyone know the spline count for the rear out put shaft on the transfer case? Cant get them to line line up. It the last thing to put it back together other than filling it with oil.

I ran into an issue when trying to put an 89' transmission in my 87', i realized that the 89' had a slightly larger slip yoke than my 87' had. could be that the V5M21 you have uses this later style slip yoke? im not sure what its spline count was though.
