bell housing bolt pattern``Ram 50

can someone help me here, I have a 1984 Ram50 LO26(two wheel drive) with a 2.0 (G63B)engine. I have the opportunity to acquire a 1984 Mighty Max with a 2.3 engine, the engine is fresh out of the machine shop (rebuilt). My Ram 50 is a 4 Spd whereas the mighty max is an automatic. I need to know if the bell housing on my Ram 50 will fit the bolt pattern on the block of the mighty max (2.0 Ram 50 vs 2.3 Mighty Max) want to swap out my 2.0 with the rebuilt 2.3 and keep my 4 Spd tranny, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to mightyram. Auto blocks are wide pattern. Verify the engine code on the donor truck as the 2.3 doesn't sound right (is it a diesel?)

Geezer101, you were correct, the truck is a 1994 Mighty Max Sport with a 2.4 Liter Motor (4G64) and auto trans, will the bell housing from the 2.0 fit onto the 2.4 block.

shoram50 2.0 with manual tranny has a narrow bellhousing
2.0 with auto tranny is a wide bellhousing

sorry 2.0 auto wide bell housing
2.0 manual narrow bell housing
2.3 diesel wide bell housing
2.4 is a wide bell housing

and 2.6 is wide bell housing

Huh? What is it doing/not doing? Any chance you can post a pic or 2 of it?

manual or automatic?

They are both 5-speeds. I even pulled the the pilot bearing out and test fit it on the input shaft, but then I just couldn't make the trans go in.

I'm going to need to try again because the current one is making noises.

Hope everyone is doing well. I have a question and I have looked everywhere i can think of to find the answers, i'm sure that someone here will have the answer or atleast have as starting point for me to look...lol. I recently purchased a 1990 Mitsubishi Mighty Max /s (micro cab), well i was told about most of the issues up front so i'm expecting to repair and or replace quite a bit specially to get it the way i'm wanting to.

Anyways. upon inspection i have noticed that there are 4 transmission bolts missing, two on each side.. but all the others are there and torqued properly. Not sure why those 4 arent there or how they became missing. I have looked in every manual i can locate on and off line on this truck but while i can find info about the different size bolts and fasteners that may have been used on this model truck not one of the sources has mention the size of any single type bolt. Does anyone know what size bolt that i need to purchase to replace the 4 missing or the entire set. Either way, the guy at the parts store said that their catalog doesn't mention a size either. That i would need to know the size of the bolt so that it can be looked up etc. I am wanting to say that it is a 12m but i'm not sure its been a very long time since i have had the opportunity to work on a vehicle and i'm sure that i have forgotten quite a bit but I've always been able to locate info on the different fasteners and other stuff.

Here is the transmission info for my specific engine & tranny:
Engine - 4G64 (EXT)R25 / 2.4L TBI (EFI)
Transaxle - R4AC1 3909 (3sp w/ overdrive)
