To answer your questions - the automatic in the 2nd gen trucks like yours only came with column mounted shifters. There is not an ecu per se because it is carbureted, but it does have a brain box for the electronic controlled carb. A weber is a great addition to these trucks, but since yours is an automatic, you will need to be sure to get the right redline weber kit with the kickdown lever for the cable that goes to the transmission.
