Awesome thanks for the input. I've already got a head gasket set and head bolts. I also have all the tools to setup the new head. Shipped and tax I'm looking at $282 which like you said isn't bad. I like your idea of new exhaust valves. May main concern was that all the non jet heads I found had manual lash adjusters and I wasn't sure if that would work with my hydraulic lifters.
