    Oil blow by

Hi all I have an 84 Dodge D-50 with a 4D55t that I rebuilt I have about 15,000 on it since rebuilt and I have had a oil blow by situation from the beginning I keep getting oil out of the breather on the valve cover is this normal for these engines? I’m new to these Mitsubishi diesels it’s usually not a lot in about 3,000 miles which is my service interval I have to add one quart usually is there fix for this?

Its fairly normal, put a catch can on the other end.

100% solution is to leave engine off lol

Wouldn't be a mitsi without blowing oil out eh!

You might consider adding a baffle inside the valve cover to limit the amount of oil getting direct access to the breather. Some set ups are just awful.
Catch can is a great idea too. But get a good one with a proper baffle set up inside and an easy way to drain it
