What parts do i need for a suspension lift on my88 50

Im looking to do a suspension and body lift on my 88 ram50. Something like 6 to 8 inches. Not sure yet.......just wondering what i can use. Ive had this 50 for 3 yrs its my second. 1st 1 i broke it in half behind the cab......now i wish i kept it for parts.

8" of lift may be optimistic. There are frame spacer kits available and there are ways to get lift by using parts from the Montero. 4 to 6" of lift is do-able.

Might be better off putting the cab on a chassis with more aftermarket support

Yeah, helpful that one... a 3" body lift kit + 2" suspension tweak will get a decent increase in ride height. Looks like the Mighty Max/Raider/Ram 50 specific kits are NLA. The Tacoma has the same number of chassis and tub supports so it might mean you'll need to play mix and match. Don't forget that the bumper brackets will need modding to line back up with the body and tub. I've seen the link for what Montero UCA's are needed for front lift but I don't recall what thread/post. Someone will add a link to it.

2nd gen Montero (not Montero sport) UCAs will give 1-2" of lift and fix alignment issues. Go to this link for torsion bars, bushings, and body lift kits:http://adventuredrivendesign.com/oca...berian+Bushing. Look at 1st gen Montero torsion bars for a 4 cylinder - they show unavailable for the trucks, but are the same bars as the Montero.

Hey thanks for the info I'll look the stuff up.....to much to do and not enough hours in the day.once I start working on my truck I won't wanna stop. That truck is more dependable than my 2000 z71 and I've almost rebuilt it.

For that height gain, would be easiest to do SAS

There are a few companies in Australia that make genuine lift kits for these! I priced one out it was somewhere between $1200-$1500 aud I believe. They were listed for the Mitsubishi Triton
