    How to install AC compressor?

    Hi all,

I have a 93 mighty max 2WD. 6 years ago I tried to charge my AC but found that as I was charging the refrigerant leaking out from the compressor. I determined the compressor was shot. I therefore deleted the compressor from the truck.

Now, I am thinking of restoring my AC system so that I can use this vehicle for work.

My plan is to buy a reman AC compressor online. Install it and hook up the belt. Then buy refrigerant from Autozone (They sell them in a can with pressure gauge). Charge refrigerant, then done~!

Will my above plan work? What else should I be watching out for? I have never done any AC work. Any comments or suggestions are highly appreciated!

Also, where to find the O-rings for the fittings that are going to bolt onto compressors?

I'm pretty certain you will need to covert it over. R134a. And a new filter dryer and txv.

The needed O rings should come with the compressor and filter dryer.

there are o ring kits at any auto parts store - the green ones are for 134A. For best results, replace all of them so they are 134a compatible.
