Clutch cable replace, jerking motion in drive

Hello, new here and new to the Ram 50. I'm looking to buy one here in southern Oregon and I see one that they are saying has a bad clutch cable and is jerking while driving. Does this sound accurate? Is the clutch cable a tricky replacement? Anyone have any good tips, not finding anything except parts on Google and nothing directly addressing the cable or symptoms in the forums here.

Hoping I can get into this truck @ $200 cash plus repairs, just want some info going into the buy.
    Thanks much!

Hi and welcome to mightyram. This problem might not be a bad clutch cable - there could be an issue with the drive line somewhere else. As for the clutch cable, this is an easy fix. For $200 it is worth the risk. Guaranteed there will be other bugs you will need to work through, so keep it in mind that you're looking at buying a 30 year old truck and a lot of them have been treated pretty poorly and regular maintenance and replacement of normal wear and tear parts like suspension will be on the list.
