    Leaf spring U bolts

I'm not finding any U bolts available for my 85 D50 how are folks dealing with this issue? The long nuts?
I would also like to know if there is some sort of padding involved in the leaf spring clamp the U bolt holds?

If you know how wide your leaf springs are, these might be the ticket -

Thanks. I guess that means if I just get one of the drop block sets I came up with the U bolts will work? The leaves are almost 2.5 US inches. If anyone knows the exact size and type of steel it would be cool to post it. That way I can have them handy when I do the bushings.
Also does anyone use teflon shims between the leaves? There were some on my new Dak springs.

Thanks Tortron. I wasn't clear I meant what kind of steel for the U bolts. I guess I should as what rating should they have instead.
