    Water leaking into cab

Water leaks into the cab of my truck when It rains, obviously. It leaks onto the passenger side floor, near the front, to The left side of the fan area. Does anyone know where its coming from or an easy way to fix it or anything? I looked in the vent cowel area and didnt see any holes through the firewall area. And I can't see anything from underneath the dash. I imagine Its not much for the electrical components in that area and the floor. Thank you for any help!

    Hey, Yoshiwarrior ~

This is a common leak with these trucks, and it almost always has to do with the vent cowl drainage system getting clogged up with leaves, Jimmy Hoffa particulate, and other stuff.

The drainage goes down behind the passenger fender. Your first move is to take the vent screens off (I think that involves removing the windshield wipers) and pulling out any junk-stuff that may have accumulated down there. Make sure the drain hole(s) are clear.

You also want to check the rubber gasket between the door and fender.

Let us know how you fared !

The vent cowel cover is missing and I've already looked down and tried to reach in there and see of I could feel any debris, but didn't see or notice anything abnormal.

Check for rust in the firwall inner guard corners and that the fresh air vent seals are present. That was the causes if my leaks

Also check the seal at the bottom of the windsheild - that vent cover overlaps the windsheild, and without it in place, you may have developed a leak there. (I saw your photos in the Gallery http://www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin...hp?albumid=525 ). The rust at the bottom of your passenger-side fender indicates (possibly) a build-up of crap. Maybe try shoving a garden hose down there and seeing if you can flush out any stuff.

I took the fender off and there wasnt anything plugged anywhere. Or dirt build up. But then I did see a spot under the bottom of the windshield that may be the culprit. So I sealed that up. And I guess we'll see when the next rain hits.

I didnt see anything blocking the passage behind the fender. The only thing I did see was a small spot under the windshield that may have been the culprit. So I sealed that up and I guess we'll see if That's
what it is when it rains next.

Well it rained this morning and it's still leaking. But more towards the center of the truck. So I'm thinking its still the windshield somewhere farther down.

I think I'll take the fender right off and check the firewall as suggested, while I'm at it make sure there's no build up in there. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I Think I'll try figuring it out tomorrow.

If your headliner is a bit saggy along the top where it meets the windshield i bet thats your problem i own 2 second gens and they both leak at that seam the d50 leaks at the top then runs down to collect in the passenger floorboard.
