    New 94 Mitsubushi mighty max owner

    hello everyone I’m new to this site and I just got a 94 mighty max one owner all original and having some trouble with getting the timing belt tight... any ideas send them my way...need any help with anything just ask I’ll try my best to help

    Hi and welcome to mightyram. There should be 2 nuts that require being backed off - the nut that the tensioner pivots on and a second nut that locks it in place once the tensioner has been set. Loosen them both, check your belt deflection so the belt isn't loose or over tight, lock up the adjuster nut then the pivot. Should be set to go.

    Ok so what size is the bolts everything I got is to small for the other one( not the 10 mm)

    Off the top of my head 12-14mm. Don't recall exactly (has been a few years since I'd undone some pretty ordinary 'repair' work performed on my donor engine)
