    TPS replacement on 94 2.4

I'm replacing the TPS on my 94 2.4 mighty max. The sensor is slotted for adjustment. is there a procedure for getting it in the correct position? I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. Thanks for any help

On my eclipse engine you use a multimeter to either read the resistense between pins on the tps or check voltage at ecu. But I don't have a factory service manual for the 2.4 so I don't know the settings for it.

Did you try looking in the manuals and source information section. There might be a manual on your engine in there.

Haynes manual says remove the connector on the TPS and measure resistance between terminals 1 and 4 on the TPS. Should be between3.5-6.5 K ohms. If out of spec replace. Then plug connector back in. Then check voltage at Pin 19 of ECU plug by connecting voltmeter red probe to Pin19, then black probe to Pin24(or any good ground). Should be anywhere from .48-.52V, clockwise rotation of TPS increases voltage, counterclockwise decreases voltage. There you go, how to set your TPS on your 2.4. It is actually the same settings as what my Eclipse TPS has to be set at
