    Bracket and spring on diff. 2nd gen

    Just wondering what purpose the 2 bolt bracket and large spring on the 2nd gen diff housing has.
    Located on the banjo next to the breather. Not present on my 1st gen.

    I don't think it's important for me, just curious.

    It is the rear brake proportioning valve connector. It modulates the pressure to the rear brakes based on load in the bed.

    Ahh got it. Not found on 1st generation then*

    *in that location, I have one up by the fuel tank
