    Tensioner Confusion

    Hi Guys,

The manual lists torque specs for the:

    Automatic Tensioner Bolt
    and
    Timing Belt Tensioner Bolt

    Which is which?

I think you are confusing the Tensioner Spacer(which is a bolt) and the Tensioner Bolt (which set the tension on the timing belt)

page 11-C35 actually check out the entire section.

I assumed that one was the spacer and one was the bolt, but the manual doesn't provide a description of either. However, after looking at your doc, I see the spec for each. The spacer is 49ft and so is the bolt. But mine shows the Automatic Tensioner with a different value.

    Automatic Tensioner Bolt 14-20
    Timing Belt Tensioner Bolt 32-40

So I'm not sure what they are talking about. But yours sounds pretty good to me so that's what I will go with.

Also, your doc is for a 92, mine's an 88. Hopefully they're the same.

I just spotted the Auto Tensioner in your diagram.

I don't have one of those.
