    Crank Bearing Question (or two)

    Hi guys,

Maybe someone can help clarify my bearing situation.

I just got my rebuilt crank. According to the tag it was ground .10. But the bearings they included are .25. Shouldn't the new bearings also be .10? Or am I misunderstanding?

Also, the rod bearings are about 2.5mm narrower than the stock bearings (the mains are the correct width). That can't be right, can it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they ground the crank .010" and the bearings are .25 mm, then they are correct. Not sure on the rod bearings though...

    Wrong bearings.

I emailed the shop and went back and forth trying to figure out what was wrong.
He finally said it WAS the correct bearing and the manufacturer just made them narrower.

    Ok... if you say so.

A few minutes later I get another email saying they ARE the wrong bearings. It was a misprint and they are sending me the correct set.
