    TrueValue.com has a tighter knit mesh I used for the gutters on the house. Also in a roll form at Lowes that is aluminum metal and forms very easy. Pulling the vents grills and placing the mesh under the stock grill might look a bit more un-modded.

    that's about the same as the stuff I used- but plastic. and I didn't think there was a way to get at the underside in the '79 models, I havn't found a way yet to be sure, no access plate like the '81 up models. If i can get the cowl plate off I'll weld studs to the bottom for push nuts and stick the screen underneath.
