1987/88 Mighty MAx Vin locations

I was wondering where all of the vin number locations are in the car, I know that there is one in the door and on the dash, but I need one that would be relevent to the frame, The reason I am needing this is be cause I noticed that my cab looks different from the bed, paint wise, the bed looks like the paint is older than on the cab, on the bed it is peeling and coming off, but the cab it looks fine. And the vin points to a 1987 Mighty Max, but the numbers on the firewall says it is a 1988 2wd Auto, So i was wondering if maybe it has a different cab and someone switched the vins, but did a half a** job at doing it.

I wanna say passenger side on the inside of the frame rail, but I could be thinking of a diff. truck

Dash, drivers door, drivers rear frame rail, under the bed just in front of the rear tire. At least on the first gen. there should be a sticker on the hood and on the radiator support. If they are gone then someone might have repaired the cab from an accident.

For a second generation truck(86.5-96) the VIN locations are door jamb, dash. On passenger side frame rail right behind wheel is the chassis number, the last 8 digits refer to last 8 digits on VIN. On the firewall is the information plate with automobile model and engine/trans/and color codes

I didn't really take it into consideration that it may have been in a wreck, I will take a look.
