    Metal canister passenger side rear?

I was tracing out vacuum lines from the intake plenum and one metal line went to a canister in front of the rear wheel well passenger side. Brake lines come out of the canister and go to the rear brakes. I have never seen one of these and assume it is a tow package add on. It is factory or I assume so based on brackets etc... I can not find it in the haynes manual I have. I am trying to troubleshoot a bad idle and checking out all vacuum lines. What is it and is it a known source for vacuum leaks?

Hi and welcome to mightyram. This is a new one. Easy enough way to diagnose if the lines are leaking is to disconnect the brake servo line and plug it temporarily, then check engine idle (which is probably where you're up to anyway). Any chance you can get pics of it? Photos go a long way into identifying if something is OEM or a specific dealership/aftermarket add on.

It's part of the rear ABS system.
