Just awesome. Still is cool that a light utility truck that was intended as a work shop runaround and farm hauler could hold it's own in competitive racing. Too bad they flipped the engine bay image in the magazine photos though. Nice find Jeff
I want to know how they took the picture of the engine bay mirror image - no 2.6 has the exhaust on the drivers side...

They used this thingy called an analog camera and then some monkey in the editing department flipped the negative over.
...and there are 2.6 engines with the exhaust on the opposite side of the engine bay but only in Mazdas (you would've thought at least one person noticed there was something wrong with it before it left the factory )
that 2.6 was built after they stopped using the mitsu 2.6, although the design was based on the 2.6 mitsu.
