You're correct, best if you can get a first gen S10. There are have been bedmats made that are somewhat universal and have cut lines for different applications molded in. You essentially cut on the lines and it becomes a custom mat. I think the one I have under the truck was made by Kenco. Bought it at a swap meet for $20 or so.
