    Lookin to put a stand alone tach on a 91 max. Any good suggestions of one correct for the motor rpm ect.

    Anything up to 8000 rpm will do the job (anything over that is being optimistic unless you are building a drag strip monster). Question #1 - what size? Question #2 - with or without shift light? Question #3 - digital or analog? Is there a particular look you're after? The good thing is you are spoilt for choices. They all come with a cylinder select switch and are easy to wire up (4 wires - ground, power, illumination and the coil trigger wire) Rest of it is up to you. Mount it on the steering column, window pillar or on the top of the dash (or in the dash with an adapter plate like the one I used to install 3 gauges in the factory radio location). Pretty much any aftermarket gauge will do the job...
