    4D55T Injection Pump Replacement Studs

Recently acquired an '83 Ram 50 Sport with the 4D55T. Previous owner had the injection pump rebuilt and never put the pump back on. I went to mount it up and the nuts wouldn't thread onto the studs more than a few turns. Put a wrench on them and they started to cut new threads on the studs. I'm wondering if anyone knows the thread size of those studs, and if they're replaceable so I know I can get the correct nuts. Thanks for any help.

There may be someone who could tell you outright but if it were me I'd just carry the pump in a bucket into a hardware store, go to the metric section and test nuts until you find one that threads on easily. You might have to rethread it, which isn't life threatening but will add more time to the project.

The studs for the injection pump are on the back of the timing case.

I was able to find a few M8-1.25 studs at our little hardware store, surprisingly. Threaded them in and loctite'd them so I'll hope for the best
