Hi and welcome to mightyram!
Hello and welcome
Hey, welcome.......pix please, wanna see whatcha got.
P3022609.jpgP3022610.jpgP2282607.jpg Thanks guys, here she is. My ghetto fabulous MM. It was my daily driver until the tragic event of that last image. Now I'm searching for a decent replacement radiator, and I'll replace the fan clutch also. You will notice the Taiwan made clear lens on the front (too bad I didn't treat them with UV resistant coating)
I can't actually see what failed in #3. You should be able to restore the clear lenses with some really fine wet and dry sandpaper and some polish. I'm a bit of a broken record on this subject but... ditch the water pump driven fan for an electric thermo. Lots of benefits to eliminating the clutch fan. Easy enough to install and can be done on a tight budget as you don't need to buy the parts new, just find a suitable donor and make some brackets to mount it. Even buying new gear off ebay might set you out of pocket about $50 all up.
Thanks for the tips. The 3rd image is hard to see, my radiator is spraying coolant upward at an angle, and banking off the hood, ha. Leaking around the filler area, small crack.
i bought some of those clear lens & side marker package off ebay.
Not installed yet, but that looks like crappy material, to decay so fast. Probably brittle and may crack soon
be careful the amp draw from the electric fan, taxing the oem weak alternator. Some, like ford taurus suck power while move air
Its wierd, on our 2.6 starions, the early models mechanical fan setup is sought after. Unmatched cooling
Same thing with my nissan ca18det s13
