    floor of cab.

    I was going to remove the carpeting in the mighty max, and lay down a few good coats of bed liner. good-bad idea? any thoughts .

    Why? It already has a coat from the factory...Kind of hard to see, but if you look you can see the rough areas where its applied. look near the shifter.

    Are you doing this instead of replacing the carpet or are you putting carpet back over it? Seems like it would get kinda hot around the tranny tunnel without out that insulation.

    If you're planning on using the bed-liner as an alternative to carpet for durability reasons, I can't see why not. It won't be great for cabin temps though. In winter the cab will feel colder and as pointed out, you'll get more heat through the trans tunnel especially when summer is in full swing. It'll be dead easy to keep clean though (and look kinda cool too)
