I'd be worried about that ghetto fixed wire in the foreground of your pic. That is a fuel cut solenoid wire - if it grounds out or disconnects it will cause all sorts of engine stalls and a possible blown fuse. Get some solder on it and seal it in heat shrink

That does not look like the correct carb for that year......

That's what's on it and has been sence I remember I've come along on it.. it's a cross of a 1983 and 1984 been going around looking at alot trucks in salvage yards that have but it's been a battle and finding just right truck and it's the Canadian emmision
