    2.3TD - Need advice

This part failed on me (photo), which in turn I have no clutch pressure.

Not sure what it's called, dealer didn't know, lordco didn't know, and all the gas ones I looked at the wrecker dont have this part.

It's on the line between slave cylinder and master cylinder, but on the master side. Attached by a little pin to the L shaped piece coming out of the firewall.

Some kind of pressure regulator ? Can it be bypassed? Or does anyone know how to find one?

    Thank you!!!!

We have some manuals you can download that may help you get an answer quicker. Also I think it is an important part if it stops the clutch from working. lol Got a wrecking yard close by?

Got a clearer picture. Looks like your phone auto focused on the socks, lol. I've got a clutch pedal setup out of an 84 mitsu and I don't think it had this. I'll look but pretty sure it's just a line straight down to the trans.

Only reason it stopped the clutch from working is because it busted at the connection and sprang a leak in the line. And I looked at the wreckers but the gas ones dont seem to have this part, and the only diesel i could find it was gone with the tranny. Dont have a better picture at the moment...Thanks for looking!

Bypass it. The worst thing that could happen is you loose some time messing with it.

That is not a factory part. Looks like some hill billy worked on the truck. There was only a master, pipe an hose, and slave. PERIOD

Alright I found a photo of one still in the truck..

It's the part just below the brake master, attached to the L shaped piece coming out of the firewall.

Does anyone think it would come with this off rockauto?

That is a pressure check valve.
    OR
It's a CDV clutch delay valve that will slow down the release of the clutch.
It holds some pressure to keep the auto adjustment for the clutch.
    OR
It will slow down the release of the clutch. When they go bad they will alow the clutch to slip.
They were to allow the clutch to engage at a standard rate and stop drivetrain shock.
Call these guys and see if they can find it. If you look on the old one there should be a PSI rating on it.
I would guess no more then 4 PSI.
You should be able to get rid of it with out any problems since I'm 99% sure it is a CDV.

Got lucky and found someone selling a whole engine/tranny with all the components just an hour drive north.

    Thanks for all the input!
