Hello again with a project 4x4!

Well I have been sad ever since I sold my 1985 Mighty Max 4x4, so a lot of Craigslist lurking happens during my slow as shit office work days, and it finally paid off, in the form of a free 5speed 1988 Ram 50 4x4! Manual hubs which I am excited about versus my 85's auto lockers. The body isn't quite as unique as the previous style, but the guts are the same so I'll take it.

The catch...tranny is all sorts of out of whack, it sounds like the guy who gave it to me has been driving it in only 1st, 2nd, 5th, and reverse for a couple of years. Now 1st shoots you into reverse from what he says. How hard is it to tear into one of these trannys and rebuild, or is it more worth my time to get a new one?

Here's a pic, will have more posted once I tow it home!

Oh and 195k on the odometer....Sounds like it runs strong from the brief firing up I did when getting the title signed over.
