Ok guys so decided it was time for me to replace the timing and balance shaft belt along with some other things since I'd never done since I bought it a year or so ago.

I installed new valve seals (smoking very bad) lifters (ticking pretty loud)
timing belt
Balance shaft belt
Water pump
Plugs
Wires
Fuller filter
Oil change while I was at it
And flushed the coolant system

Went to start it up didn't run ( I had the distributor a tooth off, fixed that)
Fired her up ran fine no smoke no tick let it idle and bled the coolant system and let it run for another 30 mins then drove it to the store a mile or so from the house and filled her up with gas. Came out started her right up drove her home.

Now for the weird shit....drove her to the parts store (8.5 miles from home) for a thermostat and gasket for my other daily I picked up and was driving since I was in the process of doing everything to my truck for the past few days. Came out and it wouldn't start sounded like a bad starter. Towed it home till I got paid bought a new starter got home installed it and same thing, put a new battery in it (had 12.7 volts just thought the cold crank amperage may be low) Fired right up but now the starter is dragging, drove it again for 4 miles the check engine light came on and running on 2 cylinders ( pulled the plugs running rich on #1 and 2 cylinder and lean in the rear 2) put in new plugs and the same thing.

I pulled the timing cover and all the timing marks are lining up besides the oil pump ...so what to do from here? I'm very mechanically inclined and I'm stumped this should have been a simple deal now I'm several hundred dollars in parts and my daily that love doesn't run.

Any ideas....?
