Hopefully you'll share the procedures for the assembly.
I really would like to do this to my macro cab.

I'll be damned. I would have never guessed that would fit. It looks really good.
Did you make your own brackets, or reuse parts from your truck or the Sport ?
I used the Montero bumper support and bolted it to the MM core support and the bumper cover fit really well i couldn't believe it myself....It was a pretty easy install with a little fab work.
97 Montero Bumper cover and support
Remove top 2 studs from support then line them up on the bottom rail on core support, Drill holes and install rivnuts I used 8mm then you can bolt the top of bumper support to the core support. Bottom 2 studs cut down and welded 2 brackets to the bottom of the core support and bolted them......Here are some pics![]()
That's great. Nice pictures too. Do you have any plans for the place where the fender flare used to go?
The Montero Sport is on what's basically a 3rd gen pickup platform. I'm still surprised it fits a 2nd gen so well though.
I'm going to fill in the bolt holes when I decide what color to paint the bumper.
Sorry, I know this is an old thread but I LOVE THIS! I'm wanting to put a 93 bumper cover on my 90 and the only one I could find was something like $400 plus another $75 to ship. Although I have been looking at Toyota bumper conversions and they do look pretty good and I'm sure I could easily get what I need from a JY for the Toyota conversion. I haven't been able to find a JY mighty max in my area although I'm sure I could find a montero

Follow the fender lip line and trim the bumper to match the contour. A bit of plastic filler - the perfect crime![]()
