    Roll bar = "luggage rack" = $20

I picked up this gem at the junkyard while I was getting some other things for my truck. Found it in the bed of a Comanche. I got super lucky removing the bolts. It didn't have all of them to begin with, and the rest either snapped off or were far enough up that they hadn't rusted at all. I walked it over to the Ram 50 I was taking stuff off of, and it fit that better than it did the Comanche.

The best part is that nobody had a clue how to ring it up. So one of them decided a luggage rack was the closest thing they could find, and I got out the door for $19.99 I'd have been happy even at $50.

It needs paint, but then again, so does my entire truck.

Gotta love a bargain! Nice find. Too bad it's not alloy or you could make it blingy and polish it up.

I deeply dislike chrome, unless it's on tastefully done classic cars. Aluminum finishes are as flashy as I like to go. I picked up a factory option rear bumper that's chrome. I'm probably going to plasti-dip it until I figure something else out.

The truck will hopefully be light gray with black trim next year. So the roll bar will probably look better in black. I need to see how much it'll be to get it blasted and power coated.

Next thing I need to do is get that terrible bumper out of there and rattle can the sides of the bed. That'll clean it up tremendously.

Nope. Only the finest house brand rattle can from Ace Hardware

It took some serious effort to grind off the old Dodge decals. They were embedded in the paint.
