    Shifter Help

Hey guys! So i had a mechanic tear down my shifter because it was leaning a bit when i would shift. I'm attaching a photo, but my question is what is the part number? or maybe can i buy an entire stick shift? does it have to be salvaged or does someone carry them? I'm having a hell of a time looking this up and I'm a little mechanically challenged.

My friend sent me this photo and don't laugh at me but i cant even see whats wrong with it. I dont even know what hes talking about.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Fellas!

the black ball that is below the inverted silver cup is split, and causing the shifter misalignment. That part may be available from the dealer, or there is a place in Australia that sells them - try looking in our parts locator programs in the manual thread.

Ahh ok so the split at the top of that pin is what's wrong with it?
Thanks for the tip! I was digging around earlier but must've missed it. I'll take another gander. For what the info is worth it's a 1986 d50. This dang thing seems so difficult to find parts for. For example I need to replace the gearbox and I'm having trouble finding one for a 4x4 that fits properly. We've tried 2 different kinds from places that say they fit but they don't lol.

The boot is missing too and I cannot believe it is not leaking oil like a pig. The dealer can still order new shifters. Much easier. OEMMITSUBISHIPARTS.com like $150 for the complete shifter
