you can even use Maalox on the threads. Nickel anti seize is easiest to find.

That s a good choice. I know my dad had a plug seize in his 1988 Ram 50 macrocab once - he drilled it out and replaced it with the head on the motor - he said it made funny noises when he started it up. Amazing he didn't trash the motor. He also drove it daily for 5 years with a cracked head. Finally pulled the head and had it welded up and the plug hole fixed.

Just a small dab will do. Do not get any on the end or it will miss fire.
The stuff is also great to use on gaskets you don't want to stick on the surface of things. Like under the carb. Water pump things like that. Then you can reuse them in a pinch.
