Which anti-seize compound - Autolite Iridium plugs?

I've a 1990 Ram 50 (2.4L ). I'm a bit foggy about which type anti-seize compound to use when installing new spark plugs. For whatever reason I think 'aluminum' (a opposed to copper, et al) is appropriate, but I'm not sure. Suggestions please? (Installing Autolite Iridium XPs because that's what Amazon told me fit this truck.)

any Anti-seize will do...they don't have to be Iridiums, very expensive, I used them in the race motor.

you can even use Maalox on the threads. Nickel anti seize is easiest to find.

Thanks, LSR Mike. I just wound up using Permatex Copper. Oh!, and the Iridiums - I both those for a really decent price, about $5.50! but I didn't read the ad right and .............. I only got one plug. Stoooopid me. Thanks for the help, sir!

That s a good choice. I know my dad had a plug seize in his 1988 Ram 50 macrocab once - he drilled it out and replaced it with the head on the motor - he said it made funny noises when he started it up. Amazing he didn't trash the motor. He also drove it daily for 5 years with a cracked head. Finally pulled the head and had it welded up and the plug hole fixed.

Just a small dab will do. Do not get any on the end or it will miss fire.
The stuff is also great to use on gaskets you don't want to stick on the surface of things. Like under the carb. Water pump things like that. Then you can reuse them in a pinch.
