Rear seals for transmission ... can't get them any longer??

Two new rear seals in the transmission (5-speed 1980 behind a 2.6 ltr) and both leak.
I gave them the part number from the dealer parts manual (MD701430) and receive "superseded parts", SKF seals, which leak.
Is there a seal for this application which will work? I have an old used original and it is different in appearance from the SKF.
Getting tired of repeating the same problem.
    Thank you!

It's more or less seating the seals correctly . They still do sell them though.

Did you use a socket to seat them?

Two different shops and mechanics and both ended up leaking. The SKF ones don't seem to work well.
