Most of the detonations seems to have been caused by a stuck heat stove duct (valve on the air cleaner sintake snout). Was constantly sucking air from the exhaust manifold regardless of engine temp. Fixed and pinging is way down now. Also ran shock treatment of Chevron Techron (PEA) through it.
