    jet valve trouble

    what would cause a jet valve to snap it half. help with a solution before i install a new one would be greatly appreciated

    You can read read tons of reports about what trouble jet valves are. And they're small, so enough exposure to heat would cause them to snap. My suggestion is to get an eliminator kit, because they never worked well, and don't contribute substantially to performance. There are a few ways to eliminate them ... I think the kit they sell is such that you don't have to remove the head.

    +2 on the jet valve elimination kit. The jet valves were a performance idea to create a swirl port effect in the combustion chamber at less than 1/3 throttle. Once they go bad the best thing is to eliminate them.
