    ram50 g54b misc questions

I'm just going to post what I put on the youtube description.

Sorry no sound I'm not sure why, but I'll upload another soon.

Basically just giving an overview of my engine (G54B)
Power steering leak, I think is from my pressure hose i believe
I replaced my exhaust, bought from summit racing, had to pay another 220 to weld that sucker in
Alternator belt is wobbly, but brand new, and maxed out on the tensioner, ideas?
Carb has a hole that when I plug it, the engine stalls, normal? should there be a hose or filter of some sort on there?
return spring for the carb, what should i take into consideration when going to grab any old spring from ace?
Anything else you see that should be brought to my attention I would be forever indebted.

You have the wrong size alt belt and it is 'lashing'. Going for a shorter belt should solve that. That throttle return spring... Can a return spring be attached to the throttle linkage and then anchored to the throttle cable bracket so it is facing the other way? It will be running underneath the throttle cable in a parallel path. The spring will be much sorter. Other option might be fitting a tensioner spring behind the throttle linkage like this -

Undo the throttle linkage and slip the spring onto the shaft - one end would hook around the linkage while the other end is pinned against the body of the carb. You could 'procure' something from an EFI throttle body at a junk yard. Just an idea.
