    Wipers

About a month ago my wipers started acting up. Turn them off and it resets to where the wipers are in the middle of the windshield. I was told that I needed a new windshield wiper motor. So I pulled one off of a truck at a salvage yard that had the wipers set in the correct place. After putting it on same thing. Goes to the bottom of the windshield and then goes up at about a 35 degree angle. Did I just get a bad motor or am I going to have to mess with the linkage.

The linkages either wear out (the plastic cups come apart and the linkage rods themselves are made from alu tube) or the linkages can seize up, or it's a fault with either the switching assembly or the motor. Seeming you've replaced the motor it is unlikely (but still possible) you got a dud. Try greasing the linkages first as they might be binding up. Grease the ball sockets and give the pivot arm mounts a blast of WD40 - this should be enough to free them up.
