4 speed to 5 speed swap

I'm sorry, I'm sure this has been covered but, searching has brought up nothing for me, I have an 82 d50 with the g52b engine and 4 speed manual, I'm thinking I'll have to pull the 4 speed to fix it, and was thinking of just adding another gear by swapping in a 5 speed, what trans would I look for? Would a second generation 2.0 5 speed swap over with minimal effort or? Thanks in advance

yes it would as long as it is a narrow bell housing 5 spd. Not sure if the front half of the drive shaft is shorter for the 5 spd over the 4 spd - never had both trannies near each other at the same time. Everything else should line up.

Have an idea or a list of what came with narrow blocks?
