Won't start after energizing wrong wire
1990 Mighty Max, 2.4, extended cab, standard, auto. a/t. OD out and manual for '87-'93 said starter solenoid was b/w but where it came into engine compartment was reading with constant load. Double checked at connector where it gathered and found the b/w changed to b/y. Ran a hot wire to under the hood on the b/y and now the truck won't start or even make a noise. Found a diagram later on AD and it says the b/y runs to starter relay.
Question, where is starter relay located and can it burn out the starter relay if separate power supply can e damage the relay? Also, any other ideas what might cause the no start problem?
Thanks
