Are the internals as far as the crank and bearings and what not the same as well?
a 2.6 block is a 2.6 block. Internals are same and should be the same from 1979 to 1989 in the Montero, Pickup and Starion.
Crank Part Number is 99072B
Con Rod part number is 413
Oil squirters can be machined into the block if needed
crank journals can be different sizes - 60 or 66 mm - all rods are forged. Cranks in intercooled 2.6s are nitrided for strength.
