Running lights, and why dont they work...
So what are the most common reasons for running lights not getting power on a second gen? I pulled the column and tried poking around looking for power but without a diagram it was kinda pointless. Relay I dont know about? turns, headlights low and high all work just not parking lights.

I think the haynes manual has a schematic in it for lights. Without a schematic, I would start by checking to see if there is power at the lights themselves, with a voltmeter, and then following the trail back up to the column.

Do you still have dash/instrument lights and rear parking lights? If they're all out I'd check the fuse box first. Good luck with hunting down the gremlin

No dash lights, don't have the bed on right now but checked for power on rear harness and nada.

Still fighting this, the Hayes manual is pretty vague when it comes to the Lighting diagrams. Gauges work, but not intrustment panel light or running lights. I cant find a break in the line and it is getting power to the switch. So safe to say it the combo switch i guess. 100 bucks later guess Ill find out.

I will try to get a scan of my 89 OEM sevice manual wiring schematics when I get home to see if that helps

Thanks buddy! Ended up being the combo switch. It was sending power, just not enough so it was very hard to track down the issue. Swapped out with one I found Junkyard diving yesterday and the instantly kicked on.
