    The other drawback would be the 2.0 jet valves. It seems to me that the 2.0 was more prone to cracking because of the jet valve ports...so finding one that's intact might not be worth the extra bother(s).

    If you're thinking a temporary fix, consider the long term expense of a head gasket set...twice, once you find the proper head.

    I have no idea about the long-term affects of a 2.0 on top of a 2.4...I only know the head gasket patterns are the same.

    I installed a head from a 7 bolt engine on my 6 bolt engine...........no issues that I can tell.
