Where Does Emission This Hose Go

Specifically from this brass tubing to where? The other is no problem. When I plug the hole the engine will die.

Does your hood still have the vacume sticker on it? If not look at the first gen factory manual. It should be in there.

OMG, that is one nasty looking Mikuni carb. The amount of emissions control crap on that carb is scary. Is it manual choke or have you stripped it down?

Thank you for your help. The carb. is a 1980 California. I have the 1980 that black manual. I have the Chilton. Just cannot find that one circled, pictured. Please don't go too much trouble but I do appreciate your help.

I looked on Google which eventually almost always brought me here. This forum, you can find just about everything.

When was the truck built month /year? You may have to look at 81 emissions to find the right diagram - Mitsubishi had a bad habit of changing emissions plumbing mid year.

This carb is not original to the truck.

    Here is the finished product.

This is like three carbs built into one. Some of the parts are brand new, like the choke for example. IMG_0457.jpgIMG_0458.jpgIMG_0459.jpgIMG_0460.jpg

If you could connect everything that you are sure of, and then take a pic of the carb and post it, you might jog someone's memory and get the answer you're looking for. Its difficult to guess where that port connects to. There are several different versions of these carbs and the vacuum systems are complex. You do know that if you plug the port the engine stalls. This tells us that the port connects to something that allows a continuous air flow through, so it would not connect to a diaphragm like the EGR for example.
