    Oil leak from head

    Hi guys,
I have a oil leaking problem for years.
I changed camshaft seal, valve cover, valve cover seal... It still looks like it is leaking..
There is always oil on alternator, air box, heat shield of exhaust manifold.
What can cause leaking in this area....oil pump/front case seal? oil pump gasket? Head gasket?

If you've replaced seals there is one other thing that can cause oil leaks - a blocked PCV. The positive crankcase ventilation valve can cause excessive air pressure in the block resulting in oil being squeezed past shaft seals. Either take it out and give it a massive clean of replace it and see how you go with leaks after that.

Gasket quality would come into question if it was me. I got a valve cover gasket in a rebuild kit that wouldn't seal. Bought an American made and no more leak.

...and it's always advisable to use a little RTV silicon on the valve cover gasket and rear cam seal too. Especially in the corners and tight radius sections of the valve cover gasket.

Yes. I will do that this weekend. This is only two bolts holding down the valve cover. If there is any wrap, there wil be a leak....
