    Repairing My Sun Visors

    It's not finished and still in the experimental stage but you may see where the thinking is going.
    Little plastic piece always breaks.
    I machined one out of brass. Milled the other part flat to accept the brass part.
    Waiting on a tapered reamer to finish up the part.
    It's nice to have a lathe at the house with a milling attachment.

    I don't know about you guys but mine look like garbage and are flimsy. Anyone found direct repacements? Maybe out of another car?

    That's some nice machine work. I just ended up plastic welding mine with a plastic solder iron. Surely no where near as good a fix as this for sure though.
