Major problem - No Spark
Hi all, I am beginning to feel like the problem Child........
Ok, so I have installed a new engine and Manual Gearbox on my 1990 2.4 Mighty Max. I bought it as a "basket case" and can only assume that it ran prior to the purchase of the new engine as I have no prior history on it.
So I have connected everything up and no spark.
I fitted a brand new coil, ignition rotor, ignition wires, spark plugs etc. but still no spark.
I have checked all fuses which are ok.
There is power to the coil.
Still no spark !!
This thing is driving me nuts as it is one problem after another!!!!
Any guidance would be much appreciated at this point as I cannot think of a solution.
BTW where is the ECU located?

The ignitor will likely be the problem. If it is receiving it's signal, then it is bad. If it is not receiving it's signal, the ECU is not sending it, or there is an open somewhere in between.

Cheers Guys
OK where is the igniter?
I will also clean all the grounds I can find.
Too be honest I am losing my patience with this car..... too many days off given to it without a positive result.
Next I pull the ECM and see what's going on in there.
