From what I have read..the ecu chipset in our ecu is not reflashable.
But....the chip could be removed and replaced if the map can be cracked..modified and put on a new chip.
Anyone done this yet?

LSR Mike had an ECU that had removable chips - He sold it to Noahwins I think

...and then I gave it to Rahtid.
So it's already been cracked
DSM ECUs are very similar to our trucks' ECUs. Same Sirius engine family.

That is really cool if we could use that software on our ecu....
you would use the tuner pro software and the moates ostrich to modify the ecu to your needs http://www.tunerpro.net/ http://www.moates.net/ostrich-20-the....html?cPath=95 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-1988-19...a34c63&vxp=mtr

How does the Ostrich work with Mitsubishi? You need a GM MAF?
Or maybe contact these guys - they make chips for 1g and 2g talons, eclipses, and other mitsu vehicles: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261164035110...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

the Ostrich plugs in to the mitsubishi eprom no need for maf translator unless you want to use one,
ostrich ecu connect.jpg
here is it installed on a old evo 1 -3 ecu similiar to or truck and other mitsubishi vehicles until 97-98

and pluged into a honda ecu below, it works on a lot of different vehicles
what software do you run with the ostrich
Is there an Ostrich guide or manual?
the software you need is not for the ostritch, Tunerpro is what you use to make changes to the ecu

The guys at DSMLink did my custom e-Proms, they do the eclipse stuff. I only had injector sizes and rpm limits changed, before I went to a AEM unit.
It would be nice to able to adjust my own fuel trim..knock and mapping . When you send it out you aren't data logging..it would be a map based on guesses.
Check out Apexi Power FC for early Evos. Should work.
You can datalog from the factory obd1 connector,http://m.ebay.com/itm/Mitsubishi-USB...508?nav=SEARCH
I guess you can use the power fc
