    G63b fuel pump push rod

Well, My Son was installing his fuel pump when the push rod came out and supposedly fell inside the engine. Is it possible for the rod to fall out of it's place and fall into the engine? I'm wondering if the rod had broke inside. because the space on the fuel pump was cracked and leaking oil. Thank you for any help you can give me.

the pump has an arm, not a push rod, and is attached to the pump. Not sure what fell down into the pan, unless the arm broke off

There's an oil drain gallery that the actuator rod passes through. You must've been very unlucky for it to end up dropping down into it. To get it out you'll need to drop the oil pan from the engine.
